Debi Hartranft is a fiber and mixed media artist living in Ephrata, Pa. She studied art at Indiana University (PA), but is largely a self-taught artist. Her artistic career has travelled many roads including desktop publishing and graphic design creating everything from logos to CD covers, designing a stuffed animals for Gracco Children's Products, and illustrating the children's book "In a Camel's Eye" for Veritas Press.
Debi learned traditional quilting at an early age making numerous traditional quilts and wall hangings in the past. Currently, Debi has returned to her love of quilting. Now she uses an innovative style with non-traditional materials. She often combines needle-felting and quilting in both two and three-dimensional pieces, and loves using recycled fabrics and fibers in her work.
